Setting up your subscription on Android TV — from Google Play or through Downloader

Sony, TCL and Philips TVs and Android boxes run Android TV, the most flexible system: you install from Google Play directly, or install the official TV Strong 4K apps through Downloader with a short code. This guide covers both ways and which to choose.

Before you start

Your subscription details

Server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes) or an M3U link — sent after payment. Paste them from our message instead of typing character by character.

A steady connection

15 Mbps for high definition and 30 Mbps for 4K, measured on the device itself. An Ethernet cable or 5GHz Wi-Fi gives the steadiest result.

A Google account on the TV

Needed to install apps from Google Play. Settings › Accounts & Sign-in.

The steps

Way one: from Google Play
Open Google Play from the home screen, search for a player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U, and install it. Message us and we confirm the player currently available in your country.
Way two: install Downloader
From Google Play install the Downloader app (free). With it you install our official apps using a code from the apps page.

Allow installing from unknown sources
Settings › Device Preferences › Apps › Security & Restrictions › Unknown sources, and turn it on for Downloader only. The name differs slightly by version.
Turn it on for Downloader alone, not for all apps.
Enter the code in Downloader
Open Downloader, type the code in the address box and press Go. The app file downloads and asks to install — press Install, then Open.
Enter your subscription details
Choose Xtream Codes, enter the server URL, username and password exactly as received, then wait for the channels to load.
Pin the app and test
Add the app to the first row of the home screen, and play two channels from two different categories to confirm.

If you prefer a player from your device’s store instead of our official apps: install one of these players, send us the MAC it shows on first open, and we activate your subscription on it. These are third-party players; their availability depends on your device’s system and your country, and we do not own them nor does our plan include their licences.

Which way to choose?

Google Play is easier and updates automatically, but availability varies by country. Downloader gives you our official apps on any Android device with one code. If in doubt, message us with the TV type.

After the first channel plays

1Set the quality

Start on automatic or HD and raise it to 4K once the connection proves steady at peak time.

2Organise favourites

Add the channels you actually watch to favourites so they are one press away, and hide categories you do not need.

3Set the screen

Cinema mode for films and Standard for matches, and reduce motion smoothing if fast shots look unnatural.

Common problems on this device

Downloader says “install blocked”

Unknown sources is not enabled for Downloader. Go back to the settings, enable it for Downloader specifically, and try again.

The code does not work

Make sure the code is typed without spaces and the internet connection works. The current codes are on the apps page; if they have changed, message us.

The app hangs on the first load

Wait a full minute; large lists take time. If nothing changes, close and reopen the app and check the connection.

Stutter while watching

Connect an Ethernet cable if the port is there, or use the 5GHz band, and drop the quality one step for a while.

Frequently asked questions

Is my TV Android TV or Google TV?

Both are from Google and the steps are similar. Google TV is the newer interface (Chromecast with Google TV and many new Sony and TCL sets). See the Google TV guide if your home screen shows film recommendations at the top.

What is Downloader and why do we use it?

A free app from Google Play that installs apps with a short code instead of typing a long link with the remote. We use it to install the official TV Strong 4K apps.

The app opens but there are no channels — why?

Usually an extra space or a missing character in the server URL or username, or an expired subscription. Paste the details from our message again; if it persists, message us with the app and device.

Does quality on Android TV reach 4K?

Yes, depending on the source, your screen and your connection speed. Set the app to its highest quality and make sure of a steady 30 Mbps at the device.

How many devices can I use?

We help you set up on two devices, with playback on one device at a time. If you need more than one screen, ask before ordering.

Menu and setting names differ slightly between versions and models, and app availability in the stores varies by country. Picture quality and stability depend on the source, your device and your connection speed. If you cannot find an option mentioned here, message us on WhatsApp with your model.
